L’Orchestrona della Scuola di Musica Popolare (Folk music School’s Orchestra) is a music course that also represents our Association. This project was born about twenty years ago from an idea by Davide Castiglia, now the band’s director, as he tried to form a completely atypical group, somewhat inbetween a marching band and an orchestra, since it includes only the instruments thaught at our school.
The Orchestrona includes more than twenty elements between accordions, violins, cellos, bagpipes, flutes, guitars, harps, double-basses and drums…All of them to offer the dancers a repertoire of dances able to move both the feet and the heart.
