Laca Collective

Laca Collective brings together musicians who produce original Funk music with influences from disco, soul, afrobeat, fusion, jazz, and rap. The collective first came together in September 2022, diving headfirst into long jam sessions from which various musical pieces began to emerge. After months of rehearsals, in December 2023, the collective moved into the studio to record their first tracks, currently still in progress. Alongside the album production, they wrote the soundtrack for the short film and debut work titled “Il Mirmecologo,” directed by young filmmaker Ajad Noor.
