Years of passionate ethnomusical research (from Polesine to Dalmatia, from the Alps to Istria until the recent discovery of the Colli Euganei area) provide Calicanto a precious experience from which they fully draw to synthesize tradition. They combine new versions and original compositions in a unitary project where the sensitivity and the musical experience of the members flow.
In the background there is the influence that Venice had on the development of a vast area between Padan Plain, Central Europe and Eastern Mediterranean. An original path that, over the years, has encompassed numerous artistic and cultural forms.
