Fragment were born in 2015 from an idea of Ariele Cartocci and in July of the same year they made their first appearance at Fairyland’s Celtic Festival. year they made their first appearance on stage at Fairyland’s Celtic Festival. In 2016 they released a first Ep, but it was not until 2018, with the release of their first album
“Second Awakening”, that the project’s identity became clear: a musical exploration search for a synergy between Irish, Scottish, Breton culture and the experimental sounds of modern music. In 2024 Fragment released their second studio album “Over the Horizon”, an album that follows up on the contaminations already experienced in “Second Awakening”, but characterised by a more progressive rock and electronic sound. Over the years Fragment have participated in numerous music festivals and competitions, including: Brintaal Celtic Folk, Montelago Celtic Festival, Piano Piano per Sulmona, Folkest, Ladispoli Celtic Festival. The name ‘Fragment’ comes from the idea of fragments of a jigsaw puzzle whose purpose is no longer being reassembled, but the experimentation of the infinite creative combinations it offers.
