Grass Root Ties

Four veterans of the European acoustic music scene playing acoustic and resonator guitars, mandolin, violin, Irish bouzouki, and double bass. Grass Root Ties perform standard bluegrass tunes, slow ballads, and gospel songs, along with fiddle melodies and instrumental pieces. Their repertoire ranges from Mississippi Delta country blues on the steel resonator guitar, to western swing songs and pieces from Bob Wills and other greats, swing standards from the 1920s to the 1940s, bluegrass and acoustic country arrangements from the 1950s to the 1970s. They feature artists like Bob Dylan, Crosby, Stills and Nash, The Band, The Byrds, Little Feat, Hank Williams, The Eagles, Johnny Cash, Creedence Clearwater Revival, and beyond to the new frontiers of newgrass.
