The trio is my favorite musical workshop. My companions and I start from the knowledge and, where necessary, from the reconstruction and revitalization of the traditional culture of my land, the Marche; at the same time we operate in such a way that this traditional culture, after having regenerated itself, takes on further vigor by feeding on different and often distant cultural and musical stimuli. We follow the past/present temporal axis within the territory in order to choose the material on which to work: traditional songs and dances, my own compositions inspired by traditional music or music contained in manuscripts of the past, popular or author’s texts, myths, legends, little-known historical facts which occurred in the Marche region. We then continue along the internal/external spatial axis to create arrangements and improvisations that start from traditional music of the Marche region, but also draw from international sources.
