A project originating from Genoa, founded with the ambitious idea of combining the passion for reggae
music with the culture of their territory, specifically the Genoese dialect, known as O Zeneize. Their focus
is to be spokespersons for the local culture using overseas music. The group members have extensive
musical experience, having played with world-renowned artists such as Ken Boothe, Alton Ellis, The
Pioneers, Dennis Alcapone, and many more. With their energetic and engaging performances, Makadam
Zena has become one of the most representative bands of Genoese local culture. Jamaica and Genoa,
miles apart, are now united by an artistic idea, a project of music and culture.
