Located on the left side of the wide Tagliamento valley, between the southern slopes of Mount Cuarnan and the western slopes of Mount Faeit, Artegna develops through a “heart-shaped figure,” as Baldissera wrote at the beginning of the 20th century. Its origins are very ancient: already inhabited in prehistoric times, it saw significant Celtic and Roman commercial settlements.
Not far from the center, you can visit the Park of Roses with extraordinary blooms in every season. Passion and history also blend in the food and wine tradition, especially in pork products, celebrated at the end of November by the traditional Pig Festival, which winds along the streets of the town involving the entire community.
